Aphrodisias
The city which was a cultural and artistic centre in Roman times is famous for its statues carved from the blue/white marble mined from the Bab mountain nearby and also for its artistic compeltitions. Many of these fabolous statues are exhibited in the local museum. Of the monuments that have come down to our day, the stadium seating. 30.000 and the temple whose comuns are still standing upright are worth seeing. The town is near Karacasu 25 km. from Nazilli
