Hierapolis (Pamukkale)
An extra ordinary work of art created by nature with lime and hot water, Pamukkale, is situated nexwt to the Denizli province, and on the plateau formed by tiers of white once there was the citiy of Hierapolis, founded by the people of Bergama. Although eartquakes caused much destruction a great part of the city still stands. The great road- the Apollon Temple and the hot springs baths are worth seeing. The magnificent white sediment tiers rising up to 100 metres are one of the greatest touristic treasures of the country
