Kuşadası
The most important summer touristic centre of the region is 71 km from Aydın. The harbour of Scalanova is thought to have been founded by the Genoese.
Not many historical momuments are left. The Davutlar national park, the beaches, holiday resorts, hotels and motels, especially the öksüz (Öküz) İbrahim Paşa caravanserai which has been converted into a hotel are famous. Kuşadası which takes its name from the island across the shore has flourished in recent years, cruises from all ovar the world stop over in this famous town
