Telmessos
The ruins of Telmessos are spread out on the forest site of the national park known by the same name.
The city centre 1050 metres high with its towers and ramparts is well preserved. There is a beautiful theatre, a cemetery temple and very many sarcophagi.
The view of the sea from the theatre is of extraordinary beauty. Telmessos; which was in estabilshed B.C. 200; reserved its independence during Romans. Even though they were under soveignty the had own laws and money.
