Xanthos
The political and artistic centre of the Lycian union. The Palace, the hunting and war reliefs are very interesting. The people of Xantos were very attached to their freedom and put up a fight against the attacks of Brutus until only 150 people survived.
Later the city was restored by antonius, Augustus and Emperor Vespasian. Many momuments in the city still welcome visitors intact.
